Let’s get everyone excited about IBM Z! One of your most important roles as an IBM Z Student Ambassador is helping others learn about IBM Z Xplore platform. Once they sign up, they are exposed to many opportunities including Career Fairs. Doesn’t that sound like a fantastic benefit to share with your peers?
Our collective goal this year is to reach 5000 signups, which means your role as an Ambassador is to sign up 50 people from your campus. We’re all in this together! So let’s have some fun with it.

What is IBM Z Xplore and why is it so important?
IBM Z Xplore is the foundational knowledge you need to understand and discuss mainframe technology. This gives you and your peers an edge when talking to potential employers.
Introduces you to IBM Z skills through videos, quizzes, and hands-on learning.
Enables a community of learners to interact and ask questions about IBM Z skills.
Provides opportunities to apply your skills through career fairs, webinars, IBM Z events, and more.
Helps you find a technical path that fits you. For example, if you prefer security over programming, you can pursue a role as a RACF administrator.
Offers a chance to learn and continue your learning indefinitely. New challenges are added throughout the year, and old challenges remain available for skill refreshment.
Allows you to try different open source and legacy technologies that clients use today, all at no cost.

How do I sign students up to Z Xplore?
Step 1: Share the CORRECT REFERRAL LINK

Once you are registered, there will be a pink box titled ‘Ambassador Referral’.
Click the pink box and type in ‘ambassador name’ and it will pop up in the box.

Step 3: Track your progress
Twice a month, the Your Big Year team will send you an updated count of your sign-ups based on reports we receive from IBM.
