Global Citizens Challenge October 21+ Schedule

Our participants are in every time zone around the world. Therefore, the event has been designed with flexibility. Participants join at all hours between school, work, and other commitments - and some have so much fun that they stay on 24/7!!

The 1-day agenda agenda includes an opening and closing ceremony with speakers, leadership sessions, virtual hangouts, fireside chats and creative collaboration on an international hub that is open 24/7. Times are written in CET (Central European Timezone = Paris Timezone).

Technology Platforms:

During the project you will have multiple technologies that you are able to work with. The main technology platforms that we will be looking at during the project are the following:

  1. Miro - An interactive whiteboard where our International Action Hub will be held. (This space is open 24/7).

  2. The Your Big Year Platform - This is where all of the recordings, event information (schedule, speakers, team contact details). This is also where you will have access to our Your Big Year Fellowship Curriculum following the Global Citizens Challenge.

  3. Zoom - This is where we will hold our discussions, pop up calls and daily ceremonies.

What is required to finish the challenge?

  • Complete the entry and exit survey

  • One Welcome Session

  • A minimum of 3 sessions and one Pen Pal Session

  • The activities on the International Action Hub.

Day 1 : October 25

2:00 pm CET (45 minutes): Opening Ceremony

2:45 pm CET (1 hour): Fireside Chat - Think Tank

5:30 pm CET (1 hour): Breaking Barriers: Lessons on Prejudice

7:00 pm CET (1 hour, 30 minutes): Pen Pal Session

9:00 pm CET (1 hour): Fireside Chat - Think Tank

 
 

Day 2: October 26

ALL DAY: International Action Hub

8:00 am CET (30 minutes): Morning Stretch

10:30 am CET (1 hour, 30 minutes): Pen Pal Session

12:30 pm CET (60 minutes): Global Impact Through Giving: A Conversation with GivingTuesday

1:30 pm CET (30 minutes): Closing Ceremony

Other Activities:

International Action Hub: The platform is the center of activity and is live 24/7. Join your peers in conversation and voice your ideas, your beliefs, your favorite recipes, your photos!

Virtual Passport: track your new friendships by stamping your virtual passport.

Popup Sessions: We always hold pop up sessions on Zoom during the event. You can even request one to open and have a chat with our team and your peers.

Your Big Year Fellowship Curriculum: Get started right away on our virtual and self-paced curriculum that teaches you practical skills to help you Make An Impact In Your Life And In Your World. Once the challenge is over, you will be able to access this program for 3 months including weekly live group coaching sessions with your peers and new friends!
