The Your Big Year program provides opportunities to learn bridging skills from academia to career. By participating in our programs, each participant is awarded a badge for the skills they have learned. The following are credentials this participant has earned through our programs:
Lepepeule Maanaso
Z Ambassador Program, powered by IBM Z
This badge certifies the completion of a professional project program run by Your Big Year and powered by IBM Z. Z Ambassadors are selected to be the go-to person for all things IBM Z related at their University or College Campus. The participant has developed leadership, communication, and organizational skills and has spent their time organizing events and workshops, writing blogs on enterprise computing related topics, mobilizing their student community to upskill their technical knowledge, and sharing IBM Z related resources.
Tech4Good
This badge certifies that the participant has successfully completed their training on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The participant is equipped with an understanding of all 17 SDGs, have identified their impact space, and learned how technology can be harnessed to make a positive impact in their local communities.
Personal Growth
This badge certifies the participant has successfully completed personal development training. The participant is equipped with an understanding of their personal brand and how to present themself in both a professional and non-professional environments. Other essential soft skills learned were focused on networking skills and seeking out growth opportunities.
